Found a Leak Under the Access Port

On 7/13/2023 Found the system at around 45-47* and in defrost. I tapped into the system and the pressures looked okay but a little low on the suction side. I tried adjusting the superheat but the system was low on gas. I found a leak under the access port where the brass meets the copper. Recovered gas, replaced access valve, pulled deep vacuum, charged system with 3# 404a, started up system, watched system pull down to 45*in Richardson Texas.
